Publishing guidelines

We are currently accepting manuscript submissions. We encourage both first-time as well as seasoned writers to contact us.

As an exclusive publishing house, we often receive more manuscripts in a month than we can publish in a year. If you have studied our website, you will understand that we are seeking great content from many sources.

Please follow the directions for submissions and possible publishing consideration in the future.

For fiction and nonfiction submissions:

  • send a cover letter
  • a detailed summary of your manuscript
  • your work in MS Word format
  • your biography
  • a listing of previous works (if applicable)
  • any available reviews of previous works (if applicable)
  • and your involvement in social media
  • and a synopsis of your storyline

For graphic novels and children’s books with illustrations submissions:

  • send a cover letter
  • a detailed summary of your manuscript
  • your work in MS Word and PDF format
  • your biography
  • a listing of previous works (if applicable)
  • any available reviews of previous works (if applicable)
  • send a minimum of five fully inked pages of art
  • and a synopsis of your storyline

If we are interested, we will contact you. Make sure to include your contact information, which should always include your correct email address.

Unfortunately, we are only able to respond to material that is of interest. While every care is taken, Lady Valkyrie accepts no responsibility for manuscripts and/or other materials submitted electronically or by other means (if applicable); in addition, we do not accept originals or hand-written materials. We neither safe keep any of your submissions nor return or inventory them.

If we decide to work with you and accept your manuscript for publication, we will assign an editor to work with you throughout our rigorous editing process. Our books and electronic books are thoroughly edited to meet the highest standards set for its publication. We will also discuss with you the potential distribution and marketing options available. Only if we offer you a contract and only if you accept it will we move forward.

We expect our contracted authors to come prepared with a marketing plan outlining the specific ways in which they intend to promote their book. The promotional and marketing stage is fundamental in achieving any type of success; the better you promote your own work, the better chances of generating buzz and potential goals. Today, social media is key in book promotion and visibility, and we expect each author to be active in social media before and after the book’s release. Keep in mind that a strong social media presence will be in your favor when we consider your manuscript for publication.

No phone calls, please.

Thank you for your interest!
